and a small loss to the bottom right corner

and a black stripe down the back--perfectly complemented by the silver-gray of the angular tin fins

the two splits on the lid of the box were very well repaired with glue at some point

Old Carved Folk Art Still Bank with Crown of Thorns Corners birds eye maple I believe the stone isWith its crown of thorns type construction, this folk art still bank seems a good one for collecting tithes or perhaps saving up to purchase something sinful! Very lovingly carved and constructed, of cigar box wood wood I believe, with especially nice incising on the slide opening, with four stars surrounding the coin slit and zig zag edges on either end. Lovely, Approx. 4 1 2" x 4 1 2" x 4 1 2". Very good condition, with a small loss to one point,
