which has remnants of its original red paint in a few spots

Large Shoe Shaped Snuff Box c. 1900 small painting and later had the companyAll of the shoe shaped snuff boxes I've found have been pocket sized, made to carry around, but this one would have stayed at home, in the parlor or library perhaps, and held a much larger stash of snuff. I like it's clean, elegant form, and it would be useful now for stashing all sorts of things. C. 1900 and with a thin coat of varnish I believe. 7 3 16" l x 2" w x 2 3 8" t and in excellent antique condition, with hinges firmly attached and opening
