and how great it feels to hold in one's hand--and certainly it is built to withstand some serious slinging

Inuit Carved Stone Otter Gripping Fish broccoli sculpture Pretty rareOne of two more Inuit carvings from a handful I bought last week, I believe all of which came from one collection, and to my eye a very good collection as I was tempted to buy many more. Not as frequent a subject as a seal or a bird or a figure, and I especially love the treatment of this otter's flipper like paws, especially the hind ones as they grip the rock he balances on, as if holding very tight with his tail doing the same from the back side.
