The drag is very smooth and adequately strong

and the nodes have a random-ish distribution throughout the rod

The butt cap is stamped with the older "EF Payne

The ferrule fits are tight and the rod is nice and straight

This was part of a series made in the early 1990s by Siskiyou Design in Oregon USA. Good lightly used condition, with some minor rim rash on the frame edge, some faint mounting marks on the foot, and a bit of tarnish to the counterbalance. Very clean overall.
