While the sale was loaded with other (mostly much larger) paintings and sculptures by him

with drawings by Nanogak throughout

with a hand and face in pale yellow and hair and perhaps a foot rendered in graphite) represents an angel of sorts

Certainly it is mid-century Scandinavian

with mother of pearl inlay at the center of the lid and for the buttons of the shoe

Roses in Window (3 of 3) Glass Plate Negative indigenous art While the sale was loadedThis is one of three 5" x 7" glass plate negatives in the shop capturing arrangements of roses in various settings. Pretty unusual, I think they are wonderful both as images and objects, and would probably prop them just as is in a windowsill, which is how I photographed them. I believe they probably date to the 1910s or 20s. Really lovely. The slide shows a little peeling and few scratches, I think just adding to its terrific moodiness and aura! 5" x
