It appears that his arms we once attached by wooden pegs but at some point were secured with nails instead
with a l little foxing to the first couple of pages
where Artemis was venerated as the goddess of nature and ruler of wild beasts

Exuberant Stalk of Flowers in Dated, Flower Decorated Vase, 1905 Ink and Crayon Drawing, JH Adair, PA victorian stove door It appears that his armsOne of a couple more today by a young J. H Adair of Spring Grove, PA, c. 1905, which I purchased together; just my sort of drawings. I'll always say yes to an exuberant drawing of a bunch of flowers, especially ones with red stems and purples leaves and green petals! And I particularly love that the vase here was used to draw yet more flowers! A good spot for marking the year, too. Feels heartening to encounter them still blooming 120 years later. 8 3
