The box is in good antique condition: there is some wear and aging to the wood

I purchased this first and foremost because I found it super beautiful as both a sculptural object and a line drawing of sorts

such that it really takes moving around her to see her--and even then one's sense of her keeps shifting

and decided to call this particular bush the marker

This one was clearly done as one of a series by a teacher, who recorded the pattern of the weaving at upper left, as she did on a second example also listed today. 8" x 6". Good condition, c. late 19th century. A few stains around the perimeter
