Paying a Lot for a Little I dont know what you thought when you first saw this card, but I thought it looks pretty darned weak
When used to full effect, the Alpha Deathclaw can lock your opponent out of being able to play for any spells at all
On the other hand, most of the cards on this list do just the opposite
If that mana is spent on a creature spell, it gains haste until end of turn
