It was a toss-up between this and the Gold Secret Rare Ultra Ball, but the art on this card is just too good to pass up

While Blastoise boasted more HP and the decks namesake, Pokemon Power: Rain Dance, Dark Blastoise was able to up the maximum damage from 60 to 70, making it a more effective finisher for the archetype
