Chimaira's first full length release, Pass Out Of Existence, is a bit different sounding than the rest of their albums for the reason that this album is more of a groove oriented nu metal approach. The band later dropped the nu metal inspiration upon the release of The Impossibility of Reason two years later, and switched to a full on groove style of metal.
