Ebonite handle spins freely. The nickel silver rim tension screw was recently replaced by Bill Archuleta and works perfectly. Arch also re bushed the reel and the result is a super tight mechanical reel with absolutely zero wobble or end play. No cracks or corrosion. No line burns. A great user reel for a great price!
