SHARON JONES & THE DAP-KINGS - Dap-Dippin LP drone This was a time ofHighly recommended. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings really capture the sound of funk and soul in the '60s and '70s. In fact they sometimes capture it too well, there's nothing wrong with a revival movement per se but they sometimes sound more like they're simply copying the old sound rather than taking it into a new direction. Still this is a very good album.
